We have acted for a range of universities, colleges, schools and local authorities to help them to provide quality educational accommodation and funding for it.  Members of the public sector team have extensive knowledge of Building Schools for the Future and Local Education Partnerships.  A recent instruction required advice to a local authority wishing to procure a non school building through its LEP partners to ensure that the Local Authority secured best value from the procurement.

In terms of Higher Education, Savills provide portfolio management and development consultancy services to a number of Oxford and Cambridge colleges, as well as the universities themselves. We are also retained by Imperial College to provide strategic advice and a full range of portfolio management services.

In addition, Savills Planning department have expertise in serving the education sector, and in particular, in terms of project management, preparation of environmental statements as well as strategic and technical planning advice. Some education projects are funded by the development of surplus land. In other cases, education is part of a wider commercial, residential, retail or mixed-use scheme, or acts as a catalyst for more extensive regeneration projects. Savills has the specialist team members to deliver these projects through the planning system.
